If you are asleep when a fire starts, you could suffer from smoke inhalation before you wake up. The combination of toxic smoke and reduced oxygen in the air can make waking more difficult. For these reasons, it is important to have a smoke alarm that detects smoke early and alerts you to the danger.

SAFETY SWITCHES

The Electrical Safety Act 2002 requested that every rental property have safety switches installed on all power circuits.

For more information on safety switches, visit www.worksafe.qld.gov.au.

For the moment, there is no legal requirement to periodicaly test the safety switches however it is a recommendation from the Electrical Safety Office and Australian Standards.

Like for every safety equipment, we strongly recommand a periodic test.

We can check security switches while we are on premises to check the smoke alarms
